Job Overview
Health Access Partner – Dell Medical School – Austin, TX. This role coordinates and schedules patient appointments, manages appointment flow, verifies insurance information, and communicates with patients. The position collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure availability and manage priority of appointment requests.
- Communicate appointment details, changes, and cancellations to patients, and answer inquiries about schedules.
- Provide information about clinic services and procedures.
- Verify patient insurance information prior to appointments and confirm coverage with insurance companies.
- Ensure accurate billing and collections.
- Update and manage patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Generate reports on appointment statistics and patient flow.
- Work closely with clinical staff to schedule appointments, ensure smooth patient flow, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software.
- Associate’s Degree.
- At least 4 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Advanced proficiency in scheduling software and customer service.
- Certification in Healthcare Access Management (CHAM).
$43,500+ depending on qualifications.
