The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging activities to promote well‑being and community among residents, while also ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

• Develop and implement a diverse range of activities, considering the needs and interests of the residents, including group activities, workshops, recreational outings, and educational programs.
• Develop a monthly curriculum activity calendar.
• Actively engage with residents to understand their interests, needs, and preferences, and tailor activities accordingly.
• Supervise and facilitate activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all residents.
• Manage and maintain activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive environment that promotes positive engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, resident participation, and any relevant incidents or concerns.
• Work collaboratively with shelter staff, volunteers, and external partners to enhance the overall quality of the shelter program.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents and staff, adhering to all relevant safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as directed and assigned.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to "Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities."

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with vulnerable populations.
• Experience: Two years' work or volunteer experience working with unhoused populations desired, support groups, peer mentoring, life skills. Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals, including those experiencing homelessness.
• Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.
• Licenses: Driver's License with a clear record.
• Vehicle: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
• Other: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
