Patient Service Coordinator

Overview

USPI Hyde Park Surgery Center is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to join our team. The role involves interacting with patients, families, doctors and vendors in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting across ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Spine. The position requires weekdays only – no holidays, weekends, or call. Shift hours vary and may include early mornings and late evenings based on the surgical schedule.

The Patient Service Coordinator opens the facility on surgery days and supports front‑office operations including medical records, procedure estimates, chart development, and documentation preparation. They work with physician offices to obtain necessary documentation, manage the records database, and assist with scheduling. The coordinator also maintains the facility culture by participating in committees and panels as needed.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of hospital or medical office experience.
• Detail oriented with excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
• Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff and maintain respectful professional interactions.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with a genuine desire to work as a team.
• Professional appearance and adherence to dress code.
• Excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
• Willingness to cross‑train to all front‑office duties, including scheduling.
