As a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer, you are responsible for performing routine and high-risk obstetrical ultrasound cases. You will demonstrate knowledge in various fetal conditions and anomalies as well as an understanding of contributing high-risk maternal factors.
Responsibilities- Implement a procedure plan that falls within established protocols
- Recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal function, tissue, structure, and blood flow
- Perform measurements and calculations according to practice protocol
- Minimize patient exposure to acoustic energy without compromising examination quality and/or completeness
- Sonogram maternal pelvic structures, fetal biometry, long bones, AFI, FHRTs, extremities, calvaria, brain and facial structures
- Sonogram maternal uterine arteries as well as fetal umbilical and middle cerebral arteries
- Record diagnostic images and data for use by the interpreting provider
- Two years’ experience as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer (MFM)
- Graduate of an educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Associates Degree or higher in related technological field – preferred
- Current ARDMS certification in Obstetrics (OB)
- Fetal Nuchal Translucency certification through the Fetal Medicine Foundation
- Nasal Bone Certification through the Fetal Medicine Foundation
- Current Registry in Fetal Echocardiography (FE) through ARDMS
- BLS Certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
