Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Special Procedures Technologist Lead, you will provide technical assistance to all physicians working in the Interventional Suites with both diagnostic and interventional procedures. You are responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within the Imaging department. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization and stewardship of all technical, physical and human resources.
You will ensure compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients in area, ranging from neonate to geriatric.
- You will assist with all procedures performed in the Interventional Suite
- You will verbalize/set-up procedure according to procedure type/MD preferences
- You will demonstrate proficiency with all equipment within the Interventional Suite procedure room including but not limited to:
Fluoro, Pan Table, Med Rad injector, Monitors, Ultrasound Unit, Control panels for digital acquisition and image transfer - You will demonstrate understanding of supplies used for specified procedure
- You will demonstrate familiarity with Renal, Neuro, Peripheral and Vascular anatomy
- You will demonstrate sterile technique as appropriate and maintain sterile field while performing scrub position
- You will prepare patient and room for exams while managing wires and other multiple components required for procedure
- You will perform role of circulator during procedure including:
Pull supplies, altering technique as phase of exam requires, Man and operate injector, Communicate to patient’s family/unit progress, and Answer physician calls/pages during procedure - You will provide patient care throughout procedure while explaining the procedure to patient and ensure understanding
- You will ensure patient safety throughout exam
- You will maintain par level of supplies, completing special order requests as needed.
- You will assist with transport of post Conscious Sedation patients and as needed to ensure department flow
- You will collect data for PI process as assigned
