- Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (i.e., production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems.
- Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge needed to better assist patients.
- Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to stores in the market.
- Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles. Complying with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Delivering additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing off‑site clinics) where allowable by law.
- Completing additional licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educating patients about vaccines and referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty.
- Monitoring for and responding to adverse reactions; reporting per public health requirements.
- Reviewing, collecting, and documenting patient and vaccine information.
- Managing vaccine supplies.
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements regarding practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
- At least 16 years of age (if no state minimum age specified).
- High school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in a high‑school or equivalency program (if no state minimum education specified).
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Attention and focus: ability to concentrate, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information and labeling for patient safety.
- Customer service and team orientation: actively seek ways to help people, respond appropriately to patient reactions.
- Communication skills: use and understand verbal and written communication, active listening, asking questions, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Mathematical reasoning: calculate tablet totals, days’ supply, and bottle counts.
- Problem resolution: identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose appropriate actions.
- Physical demands: mobile, upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, reach overhead, work with fingers repetitively, and handle items with precision.
- Other tasks as directed by a Supervisor or Manager.
- 1‑3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
$16.00 – $24.00 per hour.
