Overview

Echo Vascular Technologist PRN 's Medical Center (HCA Healthcare) performs non-invasive cardiovascular procedures including adult/pediatric echocardiography and vascular studies. Works with the healthcare team to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

• Interact with physicians, patients, guests, and health team members using professional communication (verbal, non-verbal, and written).
• Make decisions of moderate difficulty that reflect knowledge and good judgment.
• Handle confidential information regarding patient activities.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment used in Cardiology and related to job functions.
• Demonstrate competency in arrhythmia interpretation.

Experience

• One year experience performing adult echocardiograms – preferred
• Proficiency in Stress Echo, TEE – preferred
• Proficiency in Carotid ultrasound, Trans Cranial Doppler studies – preferred

Education

• Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound Technology

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
• Registry in Cardiac Ultrasound (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) from CCI
