CMA Responsibilities
  • Administer medications accurately and document per facility protocol
  • Support residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and eating
  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or mental condition
  • Perform basic health monitoring (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
  • Promptly respond to call lights and emergency situations
  • Promote dignity, comfort, and independence for all residents
  • Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and assist with light housekeeping
  • Engage residents in daily activities and foster a positive living environment
  • Comply with hygiene, infection control, and confidentiality standards
  • Assist with meal service and hydration monitoring
  • Complete other duties as assigned by facility leadership
Qualifications
  • Active CMA certification for the state of Texas
  • Previous experience in assisted living, long‑term care, or senior care settings strongly preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly and assist residents with physical support as needed
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
