Overview

Mental Health Licensed Therapist Team Lead (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)

The Licensed Professional of the Healing Arts (LPHA) provides assessment, triage, and treatment to individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions using a recovery based and trauma-informed perspective. LPHAs work in partnership with racially and culturally diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes. LPHAs conduct diagnostic evaluations and provide assessment of strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorder(s) at regular intervals to ensure optimal and personalized services.

LPHAs deliver therapeutic evidence-based and best practice interventions including but not limited to skills training through psychoeducation and patient education strategies, individual, family and/or group services, and delivering crisis services with linkages to crisis resources as needed. This position may have additional duties associated with bilingual communication services and may require the completion of a language competency test. On-call responsibilities may be required dependent upon unit protocols.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule. Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, triage, and treatment to individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders and/or chronic health conditions.
  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assess strengths, preferences, functional impairments, and symptoms of psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorders at regular intervals.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and best practice, including psychoeducation, patient education, and skills training.
  • Provide individual, family, and/or group services and crisis services with linkages to crisis resources as needed.
  • Possibly provide bilingual communication services and complete language competency testing as required.
  • Maintain on-call responsibilities per unit protocols and ensure regular, predictable attendance.
  • Adhere to trauma-informed practices and maintain a trauma-sensitive workplace.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.
  • License:
    Current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Licensure as LPHA (LPC, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, or LMFT).
  • Experience:
    Preferred: prior experience performing mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment. Bilingual candidates preferred.

    Monday–Friday (Occasional Weekends On Call)
  • Workhours: 8:00am–5:00pm (Occasional Nights On Call)
  • Salary: $71,439.68 – $91,078.00 annually depending on years of licensure plus an additional 10% crisis stipend
