GENERAL DESCRIPTIONUnder the direction of the Leased Concessions Manager, this position is responsible for performing complex consultative services, contract development, technical writing, and administrative work for the Business Management section in the State Parks Division.
Responsibilities include:
- Contract development and procurement for leased and non‑profit partnership service providers and private commercial ventures in State Parks.
- Recruitment and selection of concessions, including determining product/service requirements, soliciting providers, stimulating public interest, and developing selection criteria.
- Reviewing specifications for requests for bids.
- Coordinating and facilitating pre‑submission meetings, prospect concessionaire interviews, panel selection, and post‑interview selection.
- Researching and developing leased concession contracts and revenue contracts for commercial uses, special events, programs, variably priced rates, and charges for non‑standard uses of parks.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to State Parks.
- Monitoring contract performance by examining concessionaire reports for compliance with terms and recommending termination when appropriate.
- Providing guidance on contract administration policies and procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolving audit exceptions by defining causes of errors and recommending dispositions.
