Brief Job Description
This position performs highly complex (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance work related to the development and implementation of the ASN Program under the limited supervision of the Vaccine Operations Group Manager, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Additional responsibilities include serving as a liaison to the Adult Immunization Coordinator positions located in the Regions. This position reviews and interprets federal and state policy and conducts research to determine policy options and impacts and develops policy recommendations.
Work requires collaboration with staff internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, Central Office and the local and regional health departments.

Knowledge Skills Abilities- Knowledge of the immunization program in Texas, medical terminology; the natural history of vaccine-preventable diseases; risk assessment and risk management related to vaccine-preventable diseases.
