Mission: The Texas General Land Office primarily serves the schoolchildren, veterans, and the environment of Texas by preserving history, maximizing state revenue, and stewarding state lands and natural resources.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of assigned real estate disposition and acquisition transactions from initiation to funding and conveyance, assessing feasibility and appropriateness of acquisitions and sovereign disposition transactions, and presenting items to the School Land Board for approval.
• Serve as point of contact for contracts related to Alamo properties, ensuring compliance with contract terms, reviewing and preparing approvals, coordinating meetings, and fulfilling project needs.
• Serve as Vacancy Clerk, managing all aspects of the vacancy process in compliance with Texas Natural Resources Code and agency rules.
• Assist with departmental initiatives and ad‑hoc projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2–5 years of professional experience managing real estate assets and/or conducting real estate transactions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree
• 5+ years of professional experience managing real estate assets and/or real estate transactions
• Experience managing government‑owned land, buildings, or leases

Physical Requirements: The position requires primarily sedentary office work with mobility needed for occasional duty. Extensive computer, telephone, and client/​customer contact; ability to move and transport records weighing up to 20 pounds.
