Interim Senior Accounting Manager
Our client, a global consumer technology company, is seeking an Interim Senior Accounting Manager to support their financial reporting and consolidation functions during a period of extended leadership leave.
This role is fully remote, with candidates required to work Eastern or Central Time Zone hours. This engagement has an expected duration of 6-9 months, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes across multiple domestic and international entities.
- Oversee consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, multi-currency activity, and other corporate-level adjustments.
- Review consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper elimination of intercompany balances.
- Manage preparation and review of external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Support preparation of cash flow statements, equity roll-forwards, and other key financial schedules.
- Coordinate audit activities, providing required support and ensuring timely deliverables.
- Lead variance analyses and contribute to internal and external reporting packages.
- Provide oversight for lease accounting reviews and related disclosures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain strong accounting controls and improve reporting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational or public company environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidation principles, and multi‑entity, multi‑currency reporting.
- Experience preparing or supporting external financial reporting for regulated or publicly visible entities.
- Proven ability to lead audits, manage cross‑functional teams, and drive process improvements.
