Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the organization's tax policies and objectives.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and other documentation.

Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and potential acquisitions.

Coordinate audits and inquiries by various taxation authorities.

Implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flow.

Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.

Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide tax advice and guidance.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation or Master's degree in Taxation is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting, ideally in a manufacturing setting.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.

Proficient in ERP systems, with experience in implementing and managing these systems.

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage team members.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
