Scale View Partners is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our Austin team and play a hands‑on role in delivering exceptional outcomes for founder‑led software companies in the lower middle market.
As an Associate, you will work directly alongside senior bankers across every phase of a transaction — from building financial models and preparing marketing materials to coordinating diligence and engaging with buyers and investors. This is an execution‑focused role with meaningful client exposure and real responsibility from day one.
About Scale View Partners
Scale View Partners is the technology‑focused investment bank built for founders, by founders. We advise capital‑efficient, founder‑led software companies on M&A and growth capital transactions, bringing a perspective shaped by having sat on every side of the table — as entrepreneurs, bankers, private equity investors, and strategic acquirers. Our team combines deep deal experience with genuine empathy for the founders we serve.
What You’ll Do
- Execute transactions end‑to‑end. Support and drive M&A and capital‑raising processes from engagement kickoff through closing, taking ownership of work streams and keeping deals moving forward.
- Build financial models and analyses. Develop the SaaS‑specific analyses that drive our engagements — ARR bridges, retention and churn analyses, revenue quality assessments, customer unit economics, and buyer‑facing valuation frameworks.
- Prepare marketing materials. Create compelling Confidential Information Memoranda, management presentations, and pitch books that tell the story of our clients' businesses.
- Engage with clients and counter parties. Participate directly in client calls, management meetings, buyer discussions, and diligence sessions — not from the back of the room, but as a contributing member of the deal team.
- Coordinate the process. Manage data rooms, diligence requests, and communications across buyers, investors, legal counsel, and accountants to keep complex, multi‑party processes on track.
- Support business development. Contribute to pitch preparation and market research that helps the firm win new engagements.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of investment banking experience with meaningful exposure to software or SaaS transactions. Experience in the lower middle market advising founder‑led companies is ideal.
- SaaS‑native financial modeling and insight generation. You know how to build and pressure‑test the financial models that actually matter in software M&A. More importantly, you understand how to distill complex financial data into clear investment highlights and risk factors, identify the true drivers of value creation, and translate a founder’s numbers into a compelling, buyer‑ready narrative.
- Excellent communication. You write clearly, present confidently, and are comfortable interacting with founders, CEOs, and senior investors.
- Detail orientation and ownership. You catch errors before they leave your desk, manage your own work streams proactively, and take pride in producing polished work.
- Genuine interest in technology and entrepreneurship. You’re curious about software business models, follow the technology landscape, and are energized by working with founders building real businesses.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.
Why Join Scale View Partners?
- Real responsibility, early. You won’t be buried in a bullpen — you’ll be an integral part of small deal teams with direct client and buyer exposure.
- Meaningful work. Help technology founders navigate the most consequential decisions of their professional lives.
- Growth trajectory. Join a young, ambitious firm with a clear path for advancement as we scale.
- Founder‑led culture. Work alongside senior bankers who’ve built and sold their own companies, in a collaborative environment that values curiosity, initiative, and continuous improvement.
- Competitive compensation. Base salary plus performance‑based bonuses, along with health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid holidays, and generous PTO.
