Position: Investment Analyst (Family Office)

Our client is an Austin-based Integrated Family Office firm that serves ultra-high net worth Individuals and families. The firm specializes in integrating investments, tax strategy, estate planning, cash management and philanthropy into custom actionable plans, while serving as objective decision partners. They are seeking an Analyst for a key role within their small but growing team. This position will support the Advisory team while taking on a progressive range of duties related to financial reporting, planning, client service, and internal firm operations.

This opportunity is an ideal fit for a candidate who has 2-to-4 years of public accounting (Audit or Tax) experience, with exposure to clients within Investments, Venture Capital, Family Office, High-Net-Worth Individuals, or other relevant Financial Services. Likewise, a professional with 2-to-4 years of experience as an Analyst or Associate within a Wealth Management, Advisory Firm, or Family Office environment could also be a strong fit for this role.

Specific

job duties will include the following:
  • Assisting the Advisory team with design, communication, and execution of client strategies, including portfolio construction, tax optimization, liquidity management, and wealth transfer planning.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information related to clients’ ongoing financial activity, including transactions, valuations, liquidity movement, gains & losses, tax liabilities, and other performance metrics.
  • Developing into a resourceful subject-matter-expert for clients’ financial portfolios, while answering questions, fielding requests, and following up on action items.
  • Participating in meetings with clients and client representatives, while sharing key reporting metrics, relevant analysis and recommendations.
  • Building and maintaining short-term and long-term cash flow and financial projections.
  • Analyzing, forecasting, and optimizing federal income tax strategy and execution for client entities and households.
  • Reviewing and analyzing data and reports from clients’ investment holdings, including hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, along with brokerage, stocks & bonds, among other investments.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and enhance the firm’s internal processes, systems, and AI tools.
  • Taking an increasing level of ownership of client relationships (i.e. leading meetings, driving strategy recommendations, and becoming the primary point-of-contact for certain clients).
The ideal candidate will possess a background consisting of one of the following:
  • A) Between 2-to-4 years of experience in public accounting (Audit or Tax), with exposure to clients within Investments, Family Office, PE / VC, High-Net-Worth Individuals, or other Financial Services.

-OR-

  • B) Between 2-to-4 years of experience as an Analyst or Associate within a Wealth Management, Advisory Firm, or Family Office environment.
Other qualifications include:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • CPA license or CFA designation is desirable (active CPA or CFA candidates are encouraged to apply).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, along with proven client service skills.
  • An analytical and resourceful mindset, with the ability to research and grasp complex financial and investment-related topics and concepts.
  • A high-degree of tech savviness, and the ability to adopt and utilize multiple systems and AI tools.
