Director Operational Finance

We are representing a high-growth, inventory-intensive wholesale organization headquartered in Austin, TX. The company operates in a complex, global sourcing and distribution environment and is scaling both operational capacity and commercial reach.

This is a strategic, CFO-reporting leadership role embedded directly within operations — designed to ensure growth translates into sustainable profitability.

This is not a traditional FP&A role. It is operational finance leadership with direct impact on margin, working capital, and EBITDA performance.

• Supply Chain & Logistics Finance Leadership
• Financial oversight of warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations
• Freight and landed cost optimization
• Service level vs. cost tradeoff analysis
• Network efficiency and scalability modeling
• Capacity and volume planning support

• Inventory valuation integrity
• Physical vs. system reconciliation processes
• Strengthening internal controls in a high-SKU environment
• Driving inventory turns and cash flow performance

• Translating operational KPIs into forward-looking financial insight
• Aligning operational performance with financial objectives
• Acting as a key strategic partner to the CFO

• Leading and developing a high-performing operational finance team
• Driving cross-functional collaboration across supply chain, logistics, and production
• Elevating finance’s role within operational decision-making

• 10+ years progressive finance experience
• 3+ years leading operational or supply chain finance teams
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-heavy environments
• Strong ERP and inventory systems expertise
• Demonstrated cost optimization and working capital improvement results
• Executive presence with CFO-facing experience
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically
