Senior Private Banking Associate – Austin, TX

The Senior Private Banking Associate provides support to Private Bankers across multiple regions with tasks related to client experience and system entry. The role includes interacting directly with clients to provide service, identifying opportunities to cross‑sell products and services, and collaborating with other Sunflower divisions to meet client banking needs.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Private Bankers, WMAs, and other specialists across multiple assigned regions to ensure an optimal private banking client experience.
  • Provide best‑in‑class “relationship”‑based client experience.
  • Maintain consistent communication with assigned Private Bankers, providing updates on workload, client interactions, problems, and opportunities to grow relationships.
  • Demonstrate outstanding knowledge of and compliant operation related to Sunflower policy.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for the administrative needs of Private Banking clients.
  • Identify opportunities and cross‑sell basic banking products and services to assigned clients.
  • Deliver high‑level service while maintaining bank integrity and abiding by banking regulations.
  • Multi‑task and maintain accurate, timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws, regulations, and company policies.
Education/Experience Preferred
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ successful banking/client service experience in retail, commercial, business, private banking, and/or client services industry.
  • Experience operating in an environment that stresses both individual accountability and team‑based performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere strictly to policy and procedural guidelines.
  • High degree of accuracy and punctuality in task completion.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an ever‑changing banking environment.
Pay

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work‑related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds.

Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
