This role will oversee the financial operations of the Company’s corporate entities, including managing accounting functions, supervising fixed asset modules, processing payment runs, and ensuring efficient treasury operations. This position reports to the Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the corporate accounting team, overseeing day-to-day activities, guiding month-end close procedures, reviewing financial statements, and generating management reports.
- Manage fixed asset procedures for both corporate and property portfolios, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Oversee AP and manage weekly payment runs across multiple entities.
- Monitor cash flow and treasury operations, executing internal and external transfers and wire transactions as necessary.
- Coordinate annual budgeting process and deliver monthly Actual and Budget variance analysis.
- Conduct in-depth research on accounting matters to ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare audit schedules and collaborate with auditors during their inquiries.
- Support tax compliance by responding to tax-related requests and collaborating with external providers to complete annual tax filings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and mitigate financial risk.
- Work on multiple projects, with varying priority levels, and meeting the agreed upon schedules and objectives.
- Perform various ad hoc accounting and finance assignments as required.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field required. CPA or MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role.
- Work knowledge or experience of Yardi preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with dedication to driving and achieving results. Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
