Controller; NetSuite

We are partnered with an organization seeking a technically strong and operationally disciplined Controller with deep Net Suite ERP expertise to lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP optimization initiatives. This individual will ensure GAAP compliance, improve financial processes, and provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong controllership fundamentals with hands‑on Net Suite configuration and reporting experience.

• Oversee all general ledger activity, month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Manage consolidations (if multi‑entity or multi‑subsidiary environment)
• Lead preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures

• Serve as Net Suite functional lead within Finance
• Oversee system configuration, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and reporting
• Drive system enhancements and automation initiatives
• Ensure proper internal controls within Net Suite (roles, permissions, segregation of duties)
• Partner with IT or external consultants on system upgrades and integrations

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls (SOX experience preferred if applicable)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
• Oversee revenue recognition policies (ASC 606 experience preferred)
• Monitor risk management and financial governance practices
• Manage and develop accounting staff (e.g., Senior Accountant, AP/AR, etc.)
• Foster a culture of accountability, process discipline, and continuous improvement

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to CFO and executive leadership
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, HR, and sales leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years of direct Net Suite ERP experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Demonstrated experience leading month‑end close and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills
• 4 days onsite/week in Austin, TX

• Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Experience implementing or optimizing Net Suite
