Overview

A global manufacturer of engineered electronic components and subsystems is seeking a hands‑on Finance & Accounting Manager to support multiple business units and local leadership teams. The company designs and produces specialized, high‑reliability components for use in demanding environments across industries such as defense, aerospace, industrial, and telecommunications.

This role oversees day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end close, cost accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and the supervision of support staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ Lead the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

+ Prepare management and operational reporting packages.

+ Improve the accuracy and completeness of financial budgets and forecasts aligned with business strategy.

+ Safeguard company assets and ensure accurate, complete, and timely recording of transactions through strong internal controls.

+ Oversee the accuracy and productivity of day‑to‑day accounting functions, including accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general ledger accounting, and cost accounting.

+ Perform financial analysis to support business initiatives, capital expenditures, product costing, and special projects.

+ Partner with cross-functional peers to share insights and support best‑practice development.

+ Coordinate with external auditors, financial institutions, insurance partners, credit card providers, collection agencies, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

+ At least 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and working with ERPs to support operational needs.

+ Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, charts, and presentations to convey financial concepts.
