WhatYou’ll Do
As a Conversion Specialist, you will use consultative communication skills to interact with clients and business partners, leveraging various applications to set up retirement plans on the Trust Bank platform. This includes scheduling and leading client meetings, guiding recordkeeper and investment advisor clients through in-kind asset transfers from prior custodians, and communicating requirements for new account agreements and fund attachment paperwork.
You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure that all account setups are clearly communicated and executed with accuracy. You will support clients transitioning new retirement plan business to Schwab, ensuring that your communication fosters a positive, seamless experience for independent recordkeeper and advisor clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of financial services experience in a client-facing or operations role, ideally supporting investment advisor firms or employee benefit plans with trust/custody or recordkeeping services.
- Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and explain complex information clearly to clients and partners.
- Ability to project manage and lead client meetings involving multiple accounts, transfers, and documents, ensuring clear communication at every step.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to research, document findings, and resolve transfer request issues while communicating status updates effectively to stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, and the ability to use multiple applications and CRM systems simultaneously to support client communications.
- Moderate experience with Salesforce, Smart Sheet, and/or Docu Sign, with the ability to communicate usage to clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple priorities without sacrificing the quality or clarity of communication.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, providing timely updates and responses to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborative attitude and a positive, outgoing approach, with a focus on building authentic relationships through effective communication.
- Critical thinking skills to identify gaps or inefficiencies and communicate solutions succinctly to management and leadership.
- Comfort working in a dynamic environment, embracing change and innovation, and communicating these shifts clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Strong customer focus, including the ability to listen, gather relevant information, and provide clients with innovative options, always considering the client’s perspective in communications.
- Professionalism, intelligence, and a team-oriented mindset that foster clear, effective, and positive communication across all interactions.
This position may require overtime during critical production periods.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
