WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:We are seeking an analyst to work on the investment team. The role is based in Austin, TX. This person will support the investment team with all underwriting and due diligence of investment opportunities. The ideal candidate is an extremely organized individual who can effectively multi-task with high attention to detail and accuracy, strong communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Maintaining confidentiality, exercising good judgment, having a strong work ethic, and thriving under pressure are imperative to success in this role.
Investment Analyst:
Responsible for all tasks and diligence related to investment opportunities and client work. The focus will mostly be on alternative investments including private equity, venture capital, real estate, credit, etc.
- Assist in underwriting investment opportunities, including analyzing deals and synthesizing opportunity details into concise, easy-to-understand points.
- Prepare due diligence materials including pitch decks, investment memos, and underwriting models.
- Tracking all incoming deal flow and providing first look at all new investment opportunities.
- Ability to formulate thoughtful opinions and recommendations on investments, and present findings to the rest of the investment team.
- Prepare meeting materials for existing clients, including gathering data and updates on existing investments, working with the Partners on an asset allocation framework, and providing investment recommendations.
- Work closely with partners to provide all other materials needed for investments and clients.
- Bachelor’s Degree from Accredited University, preferably with a degree in business.
- Investment / finance experience preferred (0-3 years)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with maniacal attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills. Able to handle multiple concurrent assignments and competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Ability to think and operate independently with minimal direction.
- High emotional intelligence and trustworthiness with a growth mindset and desire to continuously learn and improve. Positive attitude with a ‘no task too big or too small’ mentality.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with the upmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Expertise using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
