Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for the position of Certified Financial Planner at New York Life in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. While the role requires a presence in the local area, some work can be done remotely. The Certified Financial Planner will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial planning services, including developing investment strategies, retirement planning, and managing client portfolios.

Additional responsibilities include consulting with clients to assess their financial goals, preparing financial analyses and plans, and offering tailored, client‑centric financial advice to support long‑term success.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Financial Planning and Personal Financial Planning
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or Registered Rep FINRA licensing
  • Expertise in Finance, including knowledge of investments and related financial products
  • Experience with Retirement Planning to create tailored solutions for diverse client needs
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred
  • Relevant experience in financial advisory or wealth management roles is an asset
  • Commitment to ethical standards and providing exceptional client service
