Internal Audit Division
GENERAL DESCRIPTIONPerforms internal audits that are highly complex in nature or+Aprimarily large in scale and/or oversees others who perform internal audits, including coordinating assignments and audit activities. Examines and analyzes DL operations, internal control structures and systems, IT databases, and accounting records. Prepares working papers to document the results of the work performed, including interviews, data analysis, and other documentation. Produces audit reports, outlines, and final reports incorporating management comments as appropriate.
Assists in developing audit scopes, programs, objectives, procedures, and deliverables that test controls and provide conclusions on the audit objectives. Presents equality results to department executives and managers. Assists with the development of annual audit plans and Quality Assurance Program, including conducting reciente PSA quality control on other audits, self‑assessments, and periodic peer reviews. May conduct follow‑up assessments to determine implementation status of prior audit findings and recommendations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to learn and navigate agency operational and financial functions for the purposes of completing assigned tasks and auditing agency operations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCECollege degree required, with accounting or business concentration preferred. CISA or CIA certification candidate strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience in conducting audits of state and federal programs; must be able to manage audit projects with appropriate supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- This classification functions in a standard office environment. Ability to drive and travel as needed, move around the office to access file cabinets, use office machinery, attend meetings in various offices and conference rooms. Must be able to communicate andંત્રી accurate information via phone, computer, and in person. Must dilate and evaluate data in a variety of formats, including hard copy, electronic, and various media formatsԾ.
- The employee must be able to lift/carry up to 10 pounds and fund and/or pull up to 10 lbs.
Must be willing to work in a non‑smoking environment and adhere to all applicable Department policies and procedures. Must be willing to work overtime if necessary which may include nights and weekends. Must attend work regularly and adhere to the approved work schedule.
