Accounting Manager

Executive Recruiter for Finance and Accounting Professionals at LHH (Formerly known as Parker+Lynch)

Location: Austin, TX (onsite)

Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 | Full-time

Seeking an accounting leader to own close activities, strengthen controls, and guide a small team within a SOX‑governed environment. You’ll manage reconciliations, journal approvals, policies, and process improvements while partnering across finance and treasury.

• Drive monthly/quarterly close and approve key journal activity
• Ensure high‑quality balance sheet and bank reconciliations; resolve variances
• Maintain GAAP‑aligned policies and SOX documentation
• Support audits and special initiatives
• Partner with treasury on cash management, forecasting, and bank relationships

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance;
  CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
• Expertise in GAAP, internal controls, and SOX environments
• Advanced Excel; familiarity with modern ERP and reconciliation tools
• Insurance industry experience preferred (CPA and closely related industry experience may be considered in lieu of insurance background)

• Experience with reinsurance, intercompany activity, and escheatment
