Job Description: As a member of the Finance and Compliance team in Crowe’s Consulting Practice, you will focus on helping clients solve business needs in accounting and finance. You will work on diverse teams with experienced experts, problem‑solve, and present constructive solutions. Typical projects include budget assistance, bond‑market research, financial modelling, revenue analysis, utility rate studies, attendance at public meetings, and economic‑development analysis.
Additional Roles:
- Accounting Consulting – financial reporting, standard implementation, risk mitigation.
- Compliance – attestation engagements, incurred‑cost audits, GAGAS performance audits, grant‑compliance consulting, subrecipient monitoring, indirect‑cost compliance.
- Internal Audit – audits, co‑source and outsourced internal audit, risk assessment, internal‑control assessment, enterprise‑risk management.
Skills and Requirements:
- Gather and review financial & compliance documentation.
- Collect financial statements, policies and procedure manuals for initial assessment.
- Verify alignment with standards (GAAP, IFRS, regulatory guidelines).
- Conduct basic compliance testing (e.g., SOX, AML checks).
- Track and document identified exceptions.
- Prepare and organize work papers.
- Support engagement execution: data entry, reconciliations, preliminary analyses.
- Assist with engagement administrative tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication with senior management and regulators.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, complex problem‑solving, and strategic contribution.
- Adapt to fast‑paced environments and changing priorities.
- Commit to continuous learning and specialized skill development.
- Build relationships with clients, colleagues, and community.
- Quickly acquire new skills, tools, and concepts.
- Apply systematic, analytical approaches to data and regulatory requirements.
- Self‑motivated to deliver high‑quality results and grow through feedback.

- Pursue CPA or other certifications relevant to focus area.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% annually for client needs.
- Contribute to AML system implementations by designing, planning, and executing data‑related work streams.
Education:
- Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
- CPA Eligibility – must meet state‑specific educational requirements to obtain a CPA license before full‑time start.

The wage range for this role considers factors such as skill set, experience, licensure, and business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $62,000–$100,000 per year.
