Brain Robotics is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accounting Lead to oversee core U.S. accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and support global consolidation efforts. This role is responsible for financial reporting, compliance, intercompany reconciliation, and audit readiness, working closely with both internal teams and global finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable (A/P), including vendor invoice processing, payment scheduling, and verifying expense accuracy.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and internal control policies for consolidation with global reporting.
- Lead intercompany reconciliations and ensure alignment of financial data across entities.
- Oversee tax and payroll compliance, coordinate all required filings, maintain the compliance calendar, and reconcile payroll journal entries.
- Review inventory valuation and landed cost reporting to support intercompany accuracy and audit preparation.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, including preparing documentation, schedules, and reports for headquarters.
- Maintain audit-ready financial records and support continuous improvements to internal controls to strengthen accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
- Prepare consolidated reports, financial summaries, and variance analyses to communicate insights and updates to headquarters.
- Partner closely with the Operations Lead to coordinate activities across A/R, A/P, inter-company transactions, and cross-functional workflow alignment.
- Identify opportunities to improve A/P workflows, reconciliation processes, and reporting accuracy.
- Develop standardized templates, procedures, and documentation to align with headquarters and global finance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent strongly preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate compliance.
- Experience with multinational corporations and cross-border financial reporting.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and SAP systems.
- Experience in technology, robotics, or manufacturing industries.
- Prior finance leadership experience involving coordination across U.S. and international business units.
- Based in Austin, TX or willingness to relocate.
