Responsibilities
  • Design and implement portfolio analytics to monitor overall risk, including exposure reports, VaR, stress tests, and liquidity metrics.
  • Provide risk management oversight through quantitative assessment of market exposures.
  • Develop standardized internal risk reporting tools.
  • Evaluate total fund performance attribution and identify active and structural risk sources.
  • Monitor and analyze liquidity needs, build cash flow forecast models, and stress test portfolio liquidity.
  • Lead group discussions on potential portfolio impacts.
  • Perform and lead quantitative due diligence across all asset classes, supporting investment decisions with data‑driven research.
  • Develop and maintain models for portfolio managers to understand outcome distributions under market conditions.
  • Research investment strategies, predictive analytics, and risk management best practices.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative investment and risk analysis for potential and existing investments across all asset classes.
  • Participate in due diligence of investment managers and prepare presentation materials.
  • Automate and enhance quarterly board book production, including reporting on performance, allocation, and exposures.
  • Evaluate and research portfolio management and risk systems, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Assists in design and implementation of information databases and investment systems.
  • Build automated programs for data aggregation, cleansing, and transformation for risk systems and analytics.
  • Identify patterns, assess data quality, and support improvements in analytic techniques.
  • Automate, audit, and reconcile data collections from multiple sources.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Business Administration, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Econometrics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science).
  • 6+ years of investment/market related experience with deep understanding of financial markets.
  • Proficiency in analytical and financial applications (Python, SQL, Matlab, etc.).
  • Knowledge of probabilities, statistics, and empirical analysis.
  • Experience managing portfolio risk across multi‑asset classes using external holdings‑based risk systems.
  • General knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with risk systems (MSCI Hedge Platform, MSCI Barra, Aladdin, Tru View, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel / Power BI skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Python, Matlab, VBA, or other programming languages (C++, Gauss, Stata, R, SAS).
  • Experience with financial data tools (Fact Set, Bloomberg, Rimes).
  • Experience with investment data analytics platforms (Backstop, LPAnalyst, Axioma, MSCI Burgiss, eFront, Venn).
  • Experience with performance systems (Clearwater, Solovis, State Street system).
  • Knowledge of index families and benchmarking (MSCI, Bloomberg, S&P Global, HFR Database, Barclays Live, Preqin).
Certifications
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA)
  • Financial Risk Manager (FRM)
  • Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM)
