This is a leadership role where you will ensure financial reporting is compliant with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate policies and procedures. In this role you will establish accounting policies and procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented accordingly. You will also ensure the timely production of required financial reports on a recurring basis and manage department staff and accounting department functions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements, account analyses, and manage cash flow.
- Coordinate year‑end audits and tax preparation, partnering with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operations policies and functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and scale financial and operational systems to support rapid growth and ensure financial and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the company's cash management.
- Serve as key partner to the human resources and IT systems teams to ensure coordination across the entire organization and leadership team.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role with a solid background in operations, strategy, and finance.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and US GAAP.
- Knowledge of best business practices as they relate to accounting systems and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, Netsuite, Sage Intaact, Business Central.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial performance.
- Comfortable in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to establish trust and work collaboratively across all levels of an organization.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- This is a hybrid in‑person/remote position located in Austin, TX.
