Event Producer – Foster – Austin, Texas
We are seeking an experienced Event Producer to manage an event concept from start to finish alongside the Executive Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for project management, budget management, vendor coordination, staff management, travel booking and logistics, and coordinating on‑site operational logistics. You will need to be available for weekly internal and external calls and daily communication via Slack.
On‑site, you will oversee all operational details from load‑in to load‑out, ensuring the event runs smoothly. Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills are essential to effectively manage the team, clients, and vendors and deliver a seamless, high‑quality event experience.
Note: This role is contract‑based and is not a full‑time position. The contract duration will be determined by the project.
Skills & Abilities- Project Management – Oversee the complete event production process, from initial concept to project wrap.
- Budget Management – Manage event budgets, ensuring expenses are tracked according to financial guidelines.
- Vendor Coordination – Collaborate with vendors to procure services, negotiate contracts, and manage timelines.
- Team Leadership – Manage and coordinate on‑site event staff, providing clear direction and support.
- Travel and Logistics – Arrange travel and logistics for event teams, ensuring timely transport and accommodation.
- On‑Site Management – Be present from load‑in to load‑out, managing setup, coordinating operations, and handling real‑time problem‑solving.
- Communication – Participate in weekly internal and external calls and maintain consistent daily communication via Slack.
- Problem‑Solving – Address unexpected challenges proactively and make confident executive decisions to keep the event on track.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event production or a related field.
- Must be available during working hours to communicate via Slack and participate in calls; flexibility for evening and weekend events.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Google Suite, Slack, and Canva.
