Overviewthe growth and expansion of our Civil Practice Team within the State of Texas, with a focus on Austin and surrounding communities. This opportunity is ideal for a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas who is deeply connected to the Austin area, growth-minded, and possesses versatile technical skills in civil engineering. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience and a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure funding—federal, state, and local—as well as in-depth knowledge of public municipalities and utilities in the Austin region.
If you have at least eight years of hands‑on experience and the ability to build and lead a high‑performing team while meeting business growth metrics, we want you to help shape our firms Future.
- Serve as a technical lead on multidisciplined civil engineering projects across Texas, especially in the greater Austin area.
- Lead the expansion of local public market presence, supporting the launch and growth of Austin office and services.
- Recruit, grow, and mentor a team of civil engineers dedicated to excellence and innovation.
- Foster collaborative relationships within the firm, sharing expertise and supporting client solutions.
- Communicate civil engineering capabilities to prospective and current clients, establishing new market opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen connections with key municipal and utility clients, nurturing trust and long‑term partnerships.
- Identify and pursue federal, state, and local funding opportunities that enable client success and the firms business growth.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (required).
- Residence in or near Austin, TX, with strong regional connections.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and market expansion in civil engineering.
- Flexible and broad technical skills across civil infrastructure disciplines.
- Comprehensive understanding of public infrastructure funding—federal, state, and local.
- Deep knowledge of municipal and utility landscapes in the Austin area.
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including team leadership and project management.
- Ability to build, develop, and guide engineering teams to achieve targeted business outcomes.
- Confident public communicator who can represent the firm to Councils, Boards, Associations
- Growth in Our firms Texas public infrastructure market, measured by increased revenue and expanded client base.
- Successful hiring, development and retention of civil engineering team
- Acquisition and deepening of relationships with key municipal and utility clients in Austin and beyond.
- Achievement of milestones related to infrastructure funding and project delivery.
