Atkins

Réalis is seeking a Water Resources Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2026 to join our team in Austin, TX.

Your role

* Learn from professional engineers standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.

* Assist with projects ranging from flood studies and floodplain modeling and mapping to drainage improvements such as storm drain design and evaluation of structure crossings and water quality studies.

* Provide administrative and operations support.

* Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of reports.

About you

* EDUCATION:

High school level courses in math, technical drafting, computer assisted drafting and/or science may be required. No experience is generally required with the applicable high school courses or equivalent training, or if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

* EXPERIENCE:

No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

* SPECIAL

SKILLS:

Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station (preferred).

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
