Interconnection Project Manager

The Interconnection Project Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of utility interconnection activities for solar and solar-plus-storage projects. This role serves as the primary point of contact between internal development, engineering, and construction teams and external utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects successfully achieve interconnection approval and permission to operate (PTO).

• Manage the interconnection process from application through PTO for utility-scale and large C&I solar projects
• Serve as the primary liaison with utilities, ISOs/RTOs (CAISO, PJM, ERCOT, MISO, SPP, NYISO, etc.), and regulatory bodies
• Prepare, submit, and track interconnection applications, studies, and agreements
• Coordinate feasibility, system impact, and facilities studies with utilities and consultants
• Manage interconnection schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables
• Review interconnection study results and support mitigation strategies for upgrade requirements
• Coordinate with engineering teams on interconnection design, protection schemes, and relay settings
• Support negotiation and execution of interconnection agreements and LGIAs
• Track interconnection costs, deposits, and upgrade budgets
• Ensure compliance with FERC, NERC, and applicable utility interconnection standards
• Support construction, commissioning, and energization activities related to grid interconnection
• Provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders and leadership
