The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SCADA/Control system drawing packages for renewable energy projects. They will improve corporate design standards and databases for the broader team. The individual will have a strong technical background in electrical and control systems and be responsible for maintaining and updating the designs throughout project execution. Day-to-day activities include creating system design templates/project architectures, integrating hardware into design software, and interfacing with hardware suppliers to maximize the reliability of the Indie SCADA/PPC systems.
The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including power systems engineers, network engineers, and managers, to deliver robust and efficient solutions.

As an Electrical SCADA Design Engineer, part of your role will be to participate in the continuous improvement of the Indie design and delivery process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ Years of Electrical SCADA/Design Engineering Experience
- Experience developing design packages for electrical, controls, and communication diagrams.
- Hands-on use of design tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, VS Code, HMI builders (SEL, Ignition, or others).
- Track Record of successful collaboration in a fast-paced multi-disciplined project environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience with AutoCAD and design/diagramming/flowcharts software
- Familiarity with SCADA and PPC requirements typical to renewable energy projects
- Exposure to developing standardized design packages for Indie offered products
- Skilled in industry design standards and hardware selection for SCADA and communication design
- Experience with workflow automation, databases, and scripting languages such as Python
- Exposure to network design, firewalls, and cybersecurity requirements
