A well-established, nationally recognized commercial general contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its Austin office. This role will lead and coordinate all estimating functions, oversee the bid process, and support preconstruction strategy across a diverse project portfolio.

This is a leadership position offering visibility with executive teams, clients, and subcontractor partners.

• Lead hard bid, negotiated, conceptual, and self-perform estimates
• Manage the full bid lifecycle including subcontractor solicitation, scope leveling, and post-bid review
• Review and finalize project estimates and proposals
• Support pre-design budgeting, value engineering, and cost containment efforts
• Participate in RFP/RFQ responses and client presentations
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Mentor and manage Estimator I/II team members
• Track historical cost data, market trends, and construction methods
• Support procurement strategy and business development initiatives

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating across all major construction disciplines
• Strong ability to interpret plans, specifications, and complex documents
• Experience leading bid strategy and managing estimating teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)

• On-site role in Austin, TX
• May require extended hours during active bid periods
