Systems Engineer
Summary:
The Silicon Sourcing Manager will be at the cutting edge of technology development and critical internal strategy. They will manage Meta's most complex partners as we pave the way for future products.
Required Skills:Participate in developing the overall data driven strategy and execution plan for assigned silicon endeavors, delivering world class experiences, quality, service, and lowest cost to Meta, and our customers
Perform cost analysis by developing should cost modeling and drive cost reduction
Negotiate and execute agreements SOWs and Supply Agreements
Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships
Lead the Supplier QTR and Q processes focused on exceeding Meta’s KPI’s and continuous performance improvement
Continually benchmark the industry to monitor technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated into Meta Reality Lab’s product portfolio
Create block diagrams at the system level and corresponding costs
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Ops and other XFN partners to substantiate and deliver to commercial targets
Work closely on simulations, and communicate effectively with internal partners including sustaining ops, sales, marketing, accounting, finance, quality and planning teams
Drive Early Supplier Involvement initiatives to ensure our suppliers are proactively providing input into new product designs and future product roadmaps
Establish supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, manage RFI/Q processes, and drive final supplier selection in partnership with Software and Hardware Engineering and Supply Base Engineering, when applicable
Manage supplier performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive continuous improvement on supply and overall partnership
Identify and implement process improvements, and lead partnerships with the GSM team on transformation initiatives
5+ years in an engineering role
5+ years in a GSM role for a consumer electronics firm
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Expert in advanced data modeling with a proficiency with Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
Technical program management and cross-functional teamwork experience
Experience operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
$168,000/year to $234,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
