Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineering in Austin, TX.
Job Details- Work closely with project managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to participate in delivering a variety of water and wastewater projects
- Conduct various engineering tasks in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with limited supervision of registered professional engineers
- Collect and analyze data, conduct feasibility and preliminary studies, and prepare technical reports for municipal water/wastewater systems
- Perform design calculations, prepare sketches, diagrams, and design drawings
- Prepare technical specification sections
- Use computer software as tools for solving complex engineering problems such as process simulation and hydraulic analysis
- Perform construction phase services during construction for major water/wastewater facilities such as conducting site visits, reviewing shop drawings and answering RFIs (request for information)
- Prepare environmental documentation for permitting or regulatory program compliance
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Coordinate with equipment vendors, subconsultants and other team members
- Up to 5% local travel to client or construction sites required
- Full-time
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with no experience.
Employer will accept skills gained in pursuit of university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently. Position requires experience in the following:
