Cyber Threat Detection Engineering Leader

About the Role

This position requires a hands-on engineering leader with proven people management experience. You will lead a team of Threat Detection Engineers while designing, implementing, and executing a detection engineering strategy aligned with business risk and organizational priorities. The role also includes end-to-end ownership of detection engineering initiatives—from intake and prioritization to delivery and performance measurement.

• Lead and mentor a team of Threat Detection Engineers
• Develop and operationalize a detection engineering strategy aligned with enterprise risk
• Oversee delivery, prioritization, and performance tracking of detection initiatives
• Drive automation and workflow improvements to scale detection capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional security and business stakeholders

• Prior hands-on experience in detection engineering, coupled with people management expertise
• Strong understanding of threat detection technologies, including SIEM, EDR, and cloud-native security tools
• Proficiency in detection scripting and rule development using KQL and/or Sigma
• Ability to balance technical depth with leadership and strategic execution
