Position: Project Manager - Commercial, Mixed-Use, & Sports Facilities

Overview

WSP is initiating a search for a Project Manager – Commercial, Mixed-Use & Sports Facilities for our San Antonio, TX team to support our Texas/Louisiana Property & Buildings Team. This leader will be involved in projects with our Building Systems group and be part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. This position can sit in Houston, Austin, or Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams from inception through completion for large-scale commercial, mixed-use developments, and sports stadium projects.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, budgets, and schedules; obtain management/client approval.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding project status, quality, and deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee design coordination for building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology) and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
  • Address change management promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget; prepare cost and schedule reports.
  • Support business development efforts including proposals and presentations for major sports and mixed-use projects.
  • Manage local client coordination and cross-selling efforts in coordination with Regional and National Business Lines and Pursuit Management.
  • Represent the firm in the facility-specific mixed-use and sports entertainment markets through regular involvement in client and industry events and associations to promote intelligence gathering and pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Development Director and Local Business Line Leaders to attract top industry talent, foster a collaborative work environment, and promote inclusion and diversity.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management for commercial, mixed-use, or sports facility projects.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems design and construction processes.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Architect license, or PMP certification.
  • Experience with large-scale sports venues or stadium projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and advanced design technologies and project delivery models.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $103,500 - $153,670

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
