Your role and responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Development engineers participate in various aspects of the development, test, and support process, such as:
- Logic (RTL) design and verification, physical design, and analog/IO design
- Signal integrity and power integrity analysis
- Microelectronics packaging and materials characterization
- Mechanical design, modeling, and technology integration
- Circuit and electrical design
- Printed circuit board layout and physical design
- Thermal design and testing
- Voltage regulation and power delivery
- Performance modeling
- Processor and system test and validation
- Component and system characterization
- Customer and field engineering support
- Firmware architecture, development, and test failure analysis
- Product quality, assurance, specification, and analytics
Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- At least three months of experience in computer or electrical engineering tasks such as designing or manufacturing hardware products
- Basic knowledge of:
- High School diploma or GED (minimum)
- Prior experience through projects, internships, or hands‑on work in computer hardware or testing (personal projects count!)
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and architecture
- Computer hardware and architecture (FPGAs, RISC‑V, ARM, MIPS)
- Circuit simulation tools (SPICE)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for technology and engineering
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
- Familiarity with one or more of the following:
- Hardware design tools and languages
: VHDL, Verilog, RTL, SPICE - Programming
: C/C++, Python, or Java - Scripting
:
Python, Bash, TCL, Perl - Computer architecture concepts
: VLSI, Microprocessors, Signal Integrity - CAD tools and 3D modeling
