Akkodis is seeking a Power QA Engineer for a contract with a client in Austin, TX
. The position focuses on collecting and analyzing power data on Mac systems and designing tests to assess power behavior of new features.
$55 per hour to $60 per hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Power QA EngineerJob Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret power test results on Mac platforms to identify performance trends and anomalies.
- Debug, isolate, and document issues using strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Design and execute test plans to evaluate the power impact of new hardware and software features.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Mac systems on test racks, along with supporting lab equipment and infrastructure.
- Prepare clear test reports, communicate findings to engineering teams, and prioritize tasks based on project needs.
- Maintain ongoing documentation of test processes to support consistency and future reference.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of QA testing experience, ideally with a focus on power or hardware testing.
- Strong knowledge of Mac hardware and/or macOS with proven debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Python or shell scripting to support automation, with basic object‑oriented programming skills (Swift or Python preferred).
