Location:
Hybrid – preferred locations Austin, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Albany, Portland (eligible in TX, OR, AZ, PA and other U.S. locations).

Compensation$30.76 – $48.38 per hour depending on qualifications.

OverviewOur client, the largest engineering services provider in the USA, seeks a Life Safety Systems Designer on a contract‑to‑hire basis.
Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit).
- Systems design experience with fire alarm, voice evacuation, gas detection, VESDA, access control, CCTV.
- Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101, NFPA 72.
- Experience with fire/life safety systems and manufacturers’ equipment.
- Industrial design experience with Autodesk Certification Professional (ACP) or other drafting technologies.
- Design and deliver complex life safety systems packages in coordination with multidisciplinary engineers and design leads.
- Create 3D BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, and develop layouts for fire alarm detection, leak detection, toxic gas management, security, and intrusion detection systems.
