Job Description:

* The ADG CCS Engineering team is seeking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI Products.
* The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, R&D Engineering and Alliance Partners to define, document, design and deploy NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions.
* The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design. Experience and Skill Requirements :

- Minimum Requirements:

* BS Degree: in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
* Minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience in a Mechanical Design Role
* Ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD Clearances
* Thorough understanding of fundamental mechanical design principles and process
* Intimate knowledge of 2D & 3D design tools i.e., Creo, Solid Works
* Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* History of generating Statements of Work and design documentation
* Successful history of working with external suppliers Preferred

Skills:

* Familiar with fixture and tool design
* Familiar with thermal analysis and stress analysis
* Knowledge of FMEA and RCCA methodologies
* Knowledge of fabrication techniques (machining, stamping, extrusion, casting, sheet metal layout, etc.)
* Knowledge of ESD principles
* Basic knowledge of electrical design principles i.e., grounding, shielding, cable design Demonstrated ability to:
* Work effectively in a group development environment
* Pay attention to detail
* Problem-solve effectively - diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions
* Take initiative, be a self-starter, and work independently
* Persistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completion
