The team designs high performance custom analog and mixed‑signal layout for integrated circuits using design rules and expert problem‑solving skills. We’re seeking a proven leader and people manager that applies their technical knowledge so that layout conforms to engineering specifications. You are a mentor and teacher  have an uncanny ability to explain the technically complicated in a simple analogy. A picture is worth a thousand words!

You are an expert in the world of custom analog and mixed‑signal layout. You understand what we mean when we describe layout as “Tetris on steroids.” You have a strong grasp of layout dependent effects: LOD/STI, WPE, PSE, OSE. You live for successful problem solving. Your observation skills, acute analytical abilities and attention to detail help you properly assess, pinpoint and define the problem.

• Provide top‑notch leadership, mentoring, personnel management, and promotes high quality work for the team
• Execute top‑level layout by coordinating, scheduling, and advising project layout resources to resolve technical problems and meet project schedules.
• Work closely with Engineering to provide high quality layout in a timely manner
• Ability to do block level, macro level and top level; floor planning, assembly and verification utilizing best analog layout practices
• Completes work through use of CAD layout software
• Ability to lead peers and direct reports on complex blocks and top level
• Coordinates with design lead on methods, procedures, and schedules of new assignments/projects.
• Evaluates new tool/features and proactively shares knowledge with team
• Creates presentations, training documents and project guidelines for layout and engineering counterparts
• Recommends/follows methodologies and operational policies
• In depth knowledge of project planning and budgets/managing contractors

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
