Fractional Principal Subject Matter Expert - Nuclear

The Principal Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Nuclear is a capable source of knowledge, techniques, or expertise in a specific subject area, such as energy supply and end use technology, climate and energy analysis, process engineering, information technology, strategic business planning, research and development, technology transfer, or other specialized fields. The Principal SME applies their expertise on projects requiring a solid level of knowledge and skills in the field of interest.

The SME may support a wide variety of projects and customers, depending on needs. SMEs may provide on‑call, as‑needed services, or support projects on a full‑time basis, depending on requirements. The Principal SME is an expert in the field and requires limited supervision.

• Participates on project teams or performs work independently, based on requirements.
• Provides technical assessments of Federal government technical programs with respect to technologies, goals and objectives, and feasibility.
• Reviews and ranks proposals, concept papers and other documents related to government funding opportunities.
• Assist with developing performance metrics for client projects and programs.
• Analyzes global technology developments, trends, and statistics (Nuclear).
• Contributes to technical and programmatic reports and analysis as required.
• Other assignments requiring SME‑level skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a scientific field or equivalent experience is required.
• Over 10 years related experience is required.
