WSP is growing and we have an exciting career opportunity for a Lead Senior Project Manager to support our Site Investigation & Remediation Business Line in Austin, Texas. We are seeking a candidate who is excited and motivated about the opportunity to help expand our environmental consulting business in Texas.

Your Impact
  • Work to identify and develop new clients for our environmental business, including networking inside and outside WSP
  • Manage environmental projects involving site characterization, remedial design, and environmental compliance, ensuring deliverables, schedules and budgets are achieved
  • Perform field work for site characterization and remediation projects, including oversight of subcontractors and sampling of soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water and groundwater in accordance with state and federal regulations and industry protocols
  • Data analysis and reporting for specific project tasks with minimal supervision, recommending remedial solutions to technical problems in accordance with accepted scientific and engineering practices
  • Provide technical review for projects to comply with environmental laws, company standards, contract requirements and related specifications
  • Will to travel to project sites primarily in Texas and occasionally across the western states; minimal overnight travel
  • Develop and maintain communication channels with clients, stakeholders and internal personnel to ensure smooth workflow and delivery of first-class engineering services
  • Mentor and train junior internal personnel, preparing teams for greater responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, ensuring technical quality of deliverables
  • Collaborate and participate in technical discussions with team members
  • Engage in business development to pursue and grow clients in the public or private sector
  • Prepare proposals, including innovative technical approaches and competitive pricing, and deliver client presentations
  • Manage technical, budgetary and schedule performance to achieve client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
  • PG or PE required;
    Texas license desired
  • 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility
  • Strong background providing environmental consulting services to industrial, commercial, mining, energy and government sectors
  • Demonstrated expertise with federal, state and local environmental regulations, including TRRP
  • Experience with field investigations, environmental site assessments, remediation, field management and sampling
  • Project management experience, including deliverables, schedules and budgets; self‑starter, team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business development experience and ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and proposal preparation
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to travel to project sites primarily in Texas and occasionally across the western states; minimal overnight travel
  • Must pass background check and hold a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s MVR policy
