Description
Party Chief will be responsible for leading survey crews through out Texas to perform various surveys. Maintain and Utilize Survey instrumentation in the field Determine most efficient plan of action for data acquisition for field surveys ranging from primary control through construction layout and as-builts, as needed Communicate with Project Surveyor and technicians regarding project schedule and work progress Read and interpret construction drawings/specifications Projects include topographic design and boundary surveys of all sizes, roadway design, right-of-way acquisition, utility facilities design, water/wastewater projects, drainage and flood studies, stream bank stabilization, dam safety surveys, tree surveys, as-built surveys, aerial mapping control, construction verification and staking, tunnel surveying, mine surveying and railroad right-of-way and design surveys.

AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
MUST HAVE:
- At least 5 years of crew chief experience; 10 years of total survey experience
- Experience using industry equipment
- Ability to travel required. Travel and mileage will be reimbursed. (Must be open to traveling all over Texas)
- Valid Drivers License PREFERRED
- Experience utilizing Trimble Equipment (type of survey equipment)
- Experience working with TxDOT projects

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of AUSTIN, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
