VVater is a next‑generation water treatment company dedicated to delivering sustainable water solutions across industries. We seek a dedicated lab technician who is passionate about water treatment and environmental sustainability.
Duties- Obtain samples and perform required tests, including pH, SDI, conductivity, alkalinity, hardness, silica, DO, and TSS.
- Monitor water quality and lab results to manage the process and make adjustments in accordance with established policies; communicate operational plans to all shifts.
- Conduct water quality testing using state‑of‑the‑art laboratory equipment, including HACH, HAAS, and microscopes.
- Sample and analyze influents/effluents, source water/product water, feed water, and permeates to detect quality variations and interpret laboratory results.
- Collect and record data from inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Identify and document defects or non‑conformities found during inspections.
- Collaborate with the operation team to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and recommendations based on laboratory findings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial water/wastewater operations.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience utilizing water lab equipment (microscopes, HACH, HAAS, etc.) and understanding laboratory testing procedures.
- Lab Technician trained with relevant regulatory certificates from EPA, TCEQ, and others (required).
- Experience working with IX, UF, RO, brine concentrators, crystallizers, boilers, centrifuges, heat exchangers, and chemical systems.
- Knowledge of procedures, materials, tools, equipment, and safety practices associated with drinking water facilities.
- Safety practices in operation of electrical and mechanical equipment used in water/wastewater and industrial facilities; familiarity with OSHA guidelines related to large treatment facilities.
- Competent in performing accurate arithmetic computations and interpreting laboratory data.
- Experience with advanced computerized systems used in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Completed OSHA/safety training as required.
- Local travel required.
- Assessment tests are required as part of the recruitment process; applicants who do not participate will not progress.
