Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position. Must be authorized to work on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

Purpose

Provide technical project management oversight to multiple key projects within the Texas Institute for Electronics, a busy University of Texas at Austin-supported semiconductor consortium of state and local government, preeminent defense electronics and semiconductor companies, national labs and nationally recognized academic institutions. Ensure schedules are met and critical stakeholders are informed of current progress or roadblocks. Effectively manage highly technical multi-disciplinary teams and projects.

Responsibilities

* Oversee the work by a team of mechanical systems engineers in the research and development of novel electrical, mechanical, software and systems related to advanced 3D HI processes. Develop, coordinate, oversee, and ensure completion of multiple project task lists and schedules related to the design, fabrication, assembly, and tests of equipment systems.

* Manage and direct assigned projects with emphasis on time schedule control, coordination of project development and implementation, and communication with designated clients
